Welcome to a responsible hotel

At the Albert 1er Hotel, commitment is a strong principle!

After the obtention of the European Ecolabel, the hotel claims on obtaining the label “Tourism and handicap” at the end of 2016’s summer, with its adherence to the programme Agil’T (Toulouse Metropole’s societal measures).

To reach this goal, the Albert 1er created two new rooms specially adapted for people with reduced mobility. It also concentrated much of its efforts on the sensibilization of its staff in order to offer the highest quality of welcome.

This new commitment supports the permanent strategy and vision of the hotel to develop in an ethical and ecofrienfly framework, as well as to be as close as possible to all its customers!

As an independent hotel and actor of the tourist industry in Toulouse, the Albert 1er Hotel is conscious of the necessity to focus on environmental issues (reduction of waste and energy / water consumption…) as well as on societal ones (healthy diet, local supply and ethical behaviour…).

The hotel deeply wants to go further, by setting up a genuine CSR (Corporate Societal Responsibility) approach.

Our Daily concrete actions:

The European Ecolabel compells the hotel to a strict management, according to a specification of standarts common to all countries of the European Union.

  • Repurposing of the equipment: second life for all office furniture, beds, blankets and other equipment through donations to charity associations or specific partners.
  • Optimization of water consumption: water flow reducers, monthly monitoring of the consumption…
  • Waste reduction: suppression of all individual packages for breakfast and home products, waste selective sorting in order to enhance what can be recycled (paper / cardboard / plastic), composting of coffee dregs, donation of bread remains to local farms…
  • Optimization of energy consumption: low-energy bulbs, automatic cut off system in the rooms (for light and TV), centralised air conditioning and heating…
  • Selection of all the breakfast products from an organic and local farming production, selection of seasonal fruits…
  • Selection of maintenance products with a reduced impact on the environment as well as on the employees’health, training and awareness of the teams in horder to set up good environmental practices…
